Buck Dodds – Storyteller

Fine and commercial artist

Buck engineers everything he does. His heros are Leonardo Davinci, Nikola Tesla, HE Babcock, Temple Grandin and the like. In the commercial and fine art world, he’s done illustrations, annual reports, patent applications, catalogs, logos–all the normal designer stuff. This is where it gets documented.

Buck makes paintings, sculptures and other media to illustrate his unique view of the world. He uses whatever media suits the piece best, and makes every effort to create art that is accessible to a variety of taste and sophistication.

Author

Buck Dodds has completed two novels and is writing his third. MANILA DINGO is ready for publication, MAESTRO RAVEN is in the works, and VOLUTED will soon be available in audio-only format. He loves creating complex characters, weird businesses and inventions, and feel-good surprises.

Buck authors flash fiction and short stories as well. He brings his art background into play with illustrations, and some shorts get film and stage treatement with performance art.

Performance

Buck is a professional extra in front of the camera and voice talent behind the mic. He enjoys voice overs and narration. He’s played drums and rythm guitar in a few bands for fun. He’s also the self-proclaimed best juice harp player in the world. (He’s gonna have to research that to be sure. Maybe make his own Utube vid.)

Buck was a professional stage hand for years, and stage managed for two Symphony Orchestras.

He’s currently turning a couple of his short stories into performance art, with voice, video and maybe a marionette!
